The Zihuatanejo international airport made history by breaking the record of performing 64 air operations from 7:00 a.m. to noon on December 31.

This tourist destination in the Costa Grande region of Guerrero became an option for tourists to celebrate the New Year’s Eve party, given the circumstances that exist in Acapulco due to the impact of Hurricane Otis.

Therefore, this Sunday, according to the flight log of the Zihuatanejo international airport, flights from various points of the country landed early.

Commercial airlines such as Viva Aerobus, Volaris, American Airlines, United, Aeromexico, Air Canada, Alaska, San Country, Airline Logo and a number of private flights also landed during the morning.

They brought with them Canadian and American tourists, mainly from Houston, Dallas, Toronto, Sprindale, San Diego and Phoenix, as well as from the interior of the country, such as Tijuana and Mexico City.

With this flow of tourists, the occupancy of hotel rooms increased and exceeded the expectations of tourism service providers and hoteliers, as it will exceed 645 visitors so far this year.
