Every February, Sailfest takes place in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. This two-week event brings together sailors and land lovers to raise money for local children’s education. The goal of Sailfest is to provide safe, healthy, and sustainable schools that promote a positive learning environment.
What to Expect at Sailfest 2025
Sailfest will feature:
* Daily sailing cruises
* A sail parade
* The Rally Round the Rock race
* Onshore activities like auctions, concerts, parades, and a champagne breakfast
* A chili cook-off
These events are not just for fun, but also to encourage donations that support local children’s education. Last year’s Sailfest was a huge success, with record-breaking attendance and revenue.
Sailfest’s Impact
Over the past 20+ years, Sailfest has:
* Funded new construction and refurbishments of schools, including kitchens, bathrooms, playgrounds, and outdoor spaces
* Provided scholarships and sponsorships to motivated students
* Supported a nutrition program that feeds over 30,000 meals per year
