With a notable turnout, Guerrero is present at Mexico’s first Tourism Tianguis in China, a strategic space to strengthen tourism cooperation ties between the two countries and position Mexico in the Asian market, in line with the tourism policies promoted by Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda.
Representing the Guerrero Tourism Secretariat, Guillermina Camarena Sahagún, Director of Promotion and Public Relations for Fidetur Acapulco, presented the state’s extensive tourism offerings, which include renowned sun and beach destinations such as Acapulco and Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, as well as the cultural and architectural richness of the colonial city of Taxco de Alarcón.
With more than four decades of history, the Mexican Tourism Fair has established itself as the main promotional platform for national destinations. Therefore, its first edition in China represents a momentous step in the internationalization strategy of Mexican tourism, opening up new opportunities in one of the fastest-growing markets in the world.
Camarena Sahagún emphasized that Guerrero’s presence at this forum seeks to attract a greater number of visitors from this country to the state, generating economic benefits and consolidating the international profile of its cultural, natural, and gastronomic diversity.
In addition, she reaffirmed the Guerrero government’s commitment to continue working to promote the state’s tourist destinations, strengthening alliances and strategies to attract more international visitors and consolidate the state as a global tourism leader.
