Guerrero registered 2% growth in its economic activity during the second quarter of 2025, with seasonally adjusted figures, placing it eighth nationally and on par with Mexico City, according to the INEGI’s Quarterly Indicator of State Economic Activity (ITAEE).

The rebound reflects the effects of the economic policy implemented by Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda, focused on reactivating productive sectors, promoting real estate investment, and strengthening mining activity, with the support of the federal government headed by Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

Despite the damage caused by Hurricanes Otis and John, the state’s economy showed signs of recovery, while other states in the country reported declines. Nayarit (-3.8%), Sinaloa (-2.8%), and Oaxaca (-2.3%) registered the largest drops during the period, which contrasts with Guerrero’s favorable performance.

State authorities highlighted that this performance confirms that Guerrero is progressing with stability and growth, boosting local development and economic recovery for the benefit of its inhabitants.
