During his daily morning press conference, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador confirmed that the police officer allegedly responsible for the murder of Rothan Gómez, the Ayotzinapa Teacher’s College student, has escaped.
The president stated that a search is underway for the subject and accused that his escape is “part of the great decomposition that the people are facing in the state of Guerrero and the interests that are involved.”
Lopez Obrador minimized the situation and stated that these were just “isolated” incidents.
Finally, he requested help from the Chilpancingo police to find the police officer whose identity was not revealed, while AMLO himself refused to issue a search file with Interpol.
