
The Secretariat of the Navy, through the Mexican Navy and through the Eighteenth Naval Zone, participated in a cleanup day at Majahua Beach as part of the “Guardians of the Coast” program, aligned with the National Strategy for the Cleaning and Conservation of Beaches and Coasts of Mexico 2025-2030.
The activity was carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) and the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (Conanp), with the purpose of preserving coastal ecosystems and strengthening the culture of environmental care among the population.
During the day, around 40 naval elements intervened, including captains, officers, classes and sailors, who collected approximately 85 kilograms of organic and inorganic solid waste.
Among the waste removed were glass, PET plastic, metals, and various garbage.
