During the Tianguis Turístico México 2026, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo stood out with an agenda focused on connectivity, strategic promotion, and culinary positioning, reaffirming its leadership as one of the most complete destinations on the Mexican Pacific coast.
As part of this strategy, the destination will continue promoting Volaris flights from Puebla starting June 1st.
Under the concept of “Land of Fishermen,” Ixtapa Zihuatanejo offered a culinary experience that highlighted the flavors, traditions, and innovation of local gastronomy, reflecting the history and culture of Zihuatanejo, recognized as a Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town).
Regarding air connectivity, an agreement was signed with Volaris to announce the new Puebla-Zihuatanejo route. Additionally, a letter of intent was signed with Volaris’ Ya Vas program, with the goal of strengthening tourism promotion and generating new growth opportunities.
In partnership with Estrella Roja, the destination will also be promoted through transportation units traveling various routes. One of them will feature the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo branding with an exclusive design, reinforcing the destination’s presence in the national market.
Ixtapa Zihuatanejo remains committed to innovation, sustainability, and the comprehensive promotion of its hotel, tourist, natural, cultural, and gastronomic attractions. The alliances and agreements reached solidify the destination as a competitive tourism benchmark both nationally and internationally.
The destination continues to evolve, maintaining a presence in the main stages of the tourism industry, showcasing the charm of a Magical Fishing Town alongside the infrastructure of a world-class resort.
