Influencer and journalist Alex Serna, known on social media for sharing citizen complaints about environmental issues and alleged irregularities in Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, has been reported missing. Family, friends, and followers are requesting the intervention of authorities to locate him.
According to posts made by people close to the content creator on social media, his whereabouts have been unknown for approximately 10 days.
Alex Serna’s last post was on June 20. In a video shared on his digital platforms, the influencer pointed out alleged environmental damage in the community of La Saladita, where he accused a foreign businessman, owner of a mango dehydration plant, of supposedly operating without environmental permits since 2017 and of using water without authorization from the National Water Commission (Conagua).
These accusations were made by the influencer himself and, to date, have not been confirmed by the relevant authorities, nor has there been an official statement from the individuals mentioned.
After his disappearance was reported, social media users have shared messages requesting assistance in locating him, while also urging authorities to investigate the case and clarify the facts.
In March, Alex Serna posted two screenshots showing threatening messages he received from a Facebook account calling itself ‘Ánimo Ánimo’ (Cheer Up, Cheer Up).
“Look, calm down (sic). You think people are going to stick their necks out for you? We’re not playing around, we already have your location and everything,” the message read.
In response to the post, his followers commented, urging him to be careful and take precautions.
