Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, wife of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, delivered a letter from the federal Executive to Pope Francis at the Vatican.
Gutiérrez Müller spoke with the Pontiff about current problems and they agreed that one of the solutions is fraternity that transcends religions and times.
“I am grateful to His Holiness for having received me, and together to talk about the problems of our time but also about solutions. One of them, as we have agreed, is fraternity, “the writer said through her social networks.
In her capacity as president of the honorary council of the National Coordination of Historical and Cultural Memory of Mexico, the president’s wife highlighted the importance of love of neighbor to get ahead while Pope Francis emphasized strengthening ties between young people and older adults.
“Specifically, looking at others with eyes of love and reaching out to get ahead together. In particular, he has said, watch and walk with young people and their grandparents who link the past and the future in the present ”, he declared.
President López Obrador’s wife thanked the Supreme Pontiff for receiving him.
