Tourist dies by drowning in Acapulco beach

A tourist drowned on Saturday, June 19th in Acapulco, Guerrero due to the high tide registered as a consequence of the rains provoked by the tropical storm “Dolores”.

According to the police report, the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Condesa beach -one of the deepest areas in the Acapulco Bay-, a few meters from Costera Miguel Alemán in the Golden Zone of the port.

After a report to the emergency number 911, the area was cordoned off by agents of the tourist police and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).

After carrying out the legal procedures, the woman’s body was transferred to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO).

Regarding the effects of Tropical Storm Dolores, the state is the second region of Guerrero with the most damage so far, it reports the flooding of three houses; 27 trees fallen in the coastal, central and peripheral areas of the municipality; three fallen posts and a road collapse.
