Last Tuesday, the MS Insignia Cruise ship arrived at the main pier of the Port of Zihuatanejo de Azueta, flying the Marshall Islands flag, coming from Cabo San Lucas, Baja California.

The foregoing is the result of the impulse that Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda has provided so that more visitors arrive at the tourist destinations of Guerrero, which generates benefits for the state’s economy; The ship brings with it 1,162 people on board, between crew and passengers, who will be able to meet and enjoy the wonderful destination, recently named Pueblo Mágico, and today they will leave for Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala.

The state and federal tourism authorities, and the mayor of Zihuatanejo Jorge Sánchez Allec, accompanied by his wife Lizette Tapia Castro, honorary president of DIF Zihuatanejo, were the ones who welcomed the cruise passengers.

Cruise tourism leaves a significant economic benefit for Guerrero, and for this reason, the head of SECTUR Guerrero, Santos Ramírez Cuevas calls on tourism service providers to offer them a quality service and be part of the result of a happy stay for our visitors.
