The Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Hotel Association expanded its job offer to more than 500 spaces, in order to employ men and women from Acapulco who were left without work after the devastation caused by Hurricane “Otis.”

With the anticipated arrival of the holiday season and the presence of foreign visitors, the demand for personnel has increased considerably, boosting the hiring initiative in the region.

Mayor Jorge Sánchez Allec announced the start of the mobilization of workers, with the Hotel Association providing transportation for employees who join the Grupo Brisas and Grupo SunScape teams. In addition, the imminent publication of a wide range of vacancies is expected, exceeding 500 job opportunities available.

The state government is also supporting this initiative through the organization of job fairs for the tourism sector. These events will take place in Chilpancingo on Wednesday, November 8 and in Zihuatanejo on Thursday the 9th, at the Social Center located on Morelos Avenue in the city center, starting at 9 in the morning.

The measure seeks to offer significant job opportunities for Acapulco workers and strengthen the economic prosperity of the region, thus promoting greater stability and growth in the tourism sector.
