The president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI), Emilio Rojas Cobián, during the 35th National Congress of the association in Acapulco, highlighted that this sector was one of the most affected by hurricanes Otis and John.

He pointed out that, despite the damage caused by the hurricanes, they decided not to cancel the activity to give a message of “encouragement and hope.” In addition, he ruled out the possibility of devaluation in social interest housing affected by the floods.

He also called on the authorities to control the accelerated growth of Acapulco to avoid damages such as the recent ones. He said that they are the main promoters for a sustainable urban and territorial order.

Rojas Cobián added that the sector represents a good investment refuge due to low risks, since the damaged properties are not sold because they are assets and the owners decide to keep them.
