Zihuatanejo, one of Mexico’s newest Magical Towns, located on the Costa Grande of Guerrero, is one of the Mexican Pacific ports that receives thousands of tourists each year arriving on cruise ships.

This stunning sun, sand, and sea destination borders Ixtapa, and this past Saturday, January 17th, it welcomed the first cruise ship of the year, officially opening the 2026 season and allowing tourists to discover the wonders of this tranquil fishing village.

The Guerrero Tourism Secretariat announced the arrival of the first cruise ship of the year in Zihuatanejo, carrying 446 passengers and 367 crew members.
