Transporters and residents of Bajos del Ejido blocked the federal highway Acapulco-Zihuatanejo, a few meters from the military checkpoint, to demand a census from the federal government after the effects of Hurricane John.
At 8 a.m. on Thursday, around 100 people went to the road and blocked both directions with taxis, vans, and motorcycle taxis.
Transporters from the Acapulco-Coyuca route from Benítez, as well as from Pedregoso, also participated in the blockade.
In less than an hour the protesters withdrew.
Police from the National Guard went to the scene, who helped with traffic traffic, when they cleared the road.
