The state of Guerrero is preparing for a month-long celebration of culture, tradition, and tourism, with the central event of the Mega Offering “A Night at Mictlán.” This tribute to the Day of the Dead will take place on October 26th at Acapulco’s iconic Costera Miguel Alemán, where hundreds of visitors and locals are expected to celebrate the memory of their loved ones in a festive and respectful atmosphere.
The monumental offering will be part of the October 2025 Tourism Agenda, which includes activities throughout the state, such as the Catrinas Festival in Taxco, sporting events like the Carrera El Sol in Acapulco, and celebrations in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Tixtla, and La Unión. Under the slogan “The Home of the Sun awaits you,” Guerrero seeks to establish itself as a tourist destination that honors its roots while offering unforgettable experiences.
Favorable weather boosts tourism in Guerrero
Weather conditions in Guerrero have improved significantly, favoring the development of these activities. According to Fermín Damián Adame, meteorologist at the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection, warm weather, clear skies, and a low probability of rain are expected during the last weekend of October.
“Stable and favorable weather is expected over the next few days, especially in coastal areas, which represents a great opportunity for those who wish to enjoy our beaches, lagoons, and recreation centers,” explained Damián Adame.
Although the rainy and tropical cyclone season officially ends on November 30, current atmospheric conditions considerably reduce the possibility of new tropical systems forming in the Pacific Ocean. This will allow for sunny days, warm afternoons, and cool nights, ideal for those visiting the state’s tourist destinations.
The Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection maintains constant monitoring of weather conditions and continues to issue preventive recommendations to the population, with the aim of ensuring the safety of residents and tourists in the event of any eventuality.
Guerrero is the perfect setting for a unique cultural experience, where the Day of the Dead tradition blends with the state’s natural splendor.
